In November 2011 BrightSky launched the DomeDirector™, our third clinical tool in the series designed to assist clinicians in identifying the continence product that best meets their clients’ individual needs.
A uridome/sheath is an externally worn device designed to collect urine. It is also referred to as an external catheter. A uridome/sheath does not replace the use of an indwelling catheter nor intermittent catheterisation.
The DomeDirector™ assists the clinician in identifying the type of uridome/sheath that best meets the client needs when a continence assessment has resulted in the recommendation of uridome/sheath use.
Uridomes/sheaths come in varying lengths, widths and adhesive types. One type will not to suit everyone. Prior to use, it is important to assess the size and skin integrity of the penis correctly.
