SWEP Continence Aids
SWEP – State-wide Equipment Program – Continence Aids (VIC)
The State-wide Equipment Program (SWEP) is a Victorian program that provides people who have a permanent or long-term disability with subsidised aids, equipment, oxygen, continence aids, vehicle and home modifications.
SWEP aims to enhance the independence and safety of people with a disability in their own home, facilitate their participation in the community and support families and carers.
SWEP is a suite of programs funded by the Department of Human Services and administered by Ballarat Health Services.
SWEP incorporates the following programs:
- Aids and Equipment Program (A&EP)
- Supported Accommodation Equipment Assistance Scheme (SAEAS)
- Domiciliary Oxygen Program (DOP)
- Continence Aids (CA)
- Vehicle Modification Scheme (VMSS)
BrightSky Australia is the contracted supplier of continence aids to SWEP and delivers continence aids directly to eligible clients on request from SWEP.

SWEP Product List and Forms
Continence Aids Product List.
The SWEP Product List includes products currently available for prescription on SWEP. It has been developed under guidance from SWEP’s clinical advisors. The list is regularly reviewed and a process to assess all additional requests is in place.
Please refer to Request for Additional Products for detail on the process for inclusion of new products onto SWEP.
Continence Aids Program – Additional Product Request Form – Prescriber Only.
This form can be used by Prescribers to request new products for inclusion on the SWEP Continence Aids Product List. Please forward completed forms to SWEP.
