The Lifetime Care & Support Scheme provides treatment, rehabilitation and care services to people severely injured in motor accidents in NSW, regardless of who was at fault in the accident.
People who are eligible for the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme have a spinal cord injury, moderate to severe brain injury, multiple amputations, severe burns or permanent blindness.
The Lifetime Care and Support Authority provides treatment, rehabilitation and care as it is needed throughout the person’s life.
The Scheme began for children under 16 years injured in motor accidents from 1 October 2006. From 1 October 2007, the Scheme also applies to adults severely injured in motor accidents in NSW.
BrightSky Australia is contracted to provide continence and related medical consumables to the Lifetime Care and Support Scheme.
More information on this program can be found on the Lifetime Care and Support Authority's website.
