Peristeen Plus is a transanal irrigation system for people who suffer from faecal incontinence and/or constipation.

Peristeen Plus TAI system with cone catheter is a water based treatment intended to help manage ones bowels and can be used by users with a range of bowel symptoms, including those who have undergone a bowel surgery and as a consequence are sufferring from Low Anterior Resection Syndrome, also known as LARS.

Peristeen Plus empties the bowel by introducing water into the bowel using a rectal cone catheter. It is performed whilst sitting on the toilet. The water acts to flush out the stool, leaving the lower half of the bowel empty. As it only requires water, Peristeen Plus is an alternative to other conservative bowel management methods that call for the use of medication. It can be administered either on your own or with assistance, and enables you to decide when and where you want to empty your bowel.

The patient must recieve thorough instuctions from a healthcare professional before using this product.
